Mrs Partridge

Hello everybody, my name is Mrs Partridge. Since joining Highwood I have taught in Year 6, and am now enjoying being part of the Year 4 team. Outside of teaching, you can find me reading a book, or spending time with my friends – I’m a massive extrovert! I love being creative, and I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm for Art with my class, and the rest of the school as I continue leading into Art!

Something that I am passionate about is ensuring that every child that steps into my classroom feels welcome and part of the community. My aim each year is to create a respectful space where everyone has the opportunity to grow and develop into a confident young person, ready to face secondary school and beyond.

  Mr Williams

Hi! I am Mr Williams and am delighted to be joining the Highwood team!

I have many years of experience teaching across KS2 and this is my fourth year teaching in year 4! One of my favourite parts of teaching is being able to provide the children with the tools they need to succeed as individuals and then see them grow throughout the year. I enjoy teaching all subjects but my favourite is maths. I love spending time with the children exploring all the different methods and having discussions about number patterns. It is great when a child has that ‘lightbulb moment’ during maths because someone has explained a ‘trick’ or a new method to them!

Outside of teaching and the classroom I love spending time with my family. We often spend our time on the beach or just out and about getting some fresh air! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends, playing golf and playing/watching football – although watching isn’t always enjoyable as the team I support (Leeds) aren’t that good! I also enjoy watching films. My favourite is the Pirates of the Caribbean!
