Mrs Garner

Hello, I am Mrs Garner. I have been a part of the Highwood Community for a number of years as a parent, HLTA, and teacher. I have been a qualified teacher since 2004 and love the variety that comes with meeting and working with new children and their families. Music has always been a real interest and passion of mine and I enjoy being able to run the Key Stage Two Choir. Outside of school, you'll find me out walking in the fresh air and spending time with my family. The beach is my favourite place to be!

Ms Bolger

Hi. I'm Miss Bolger and I am really happy to have joined the Highwood community. I have 25 years of experience teaching across the KS1 and KS2. My aim is to create a warm, welcoming classroom environment, where every child feels included and a part of our team. 

My favourite subjects to teach are History because it is so interesting and fun and PE, as I am a strong believer in the importance of physical fitness for your own overall wellbeing.

Outside of school you can find me reading a book, or at the cinema. I enjoy playing sports, such as badminton, tennis and rounders. Most weekends you will find me at the swimming pool as I am a bit of a water baby!

Miss Ahmed

Hello everyone! My name is Miss Ahmed, and I am super excited to be working with Year 1. Before becoming a teacher at Highwood, I volunteered in various year groups to support children while training to become a teacher. I have enjoyed working with children to instil their passion for learning and make it fun! Without enjoyment, I believe learning is less likely to be remembered, so I strive to incorporate creativity into our lessons.

Outside of school, you will find me spending time with my family or reading a book. I love reading and aim to instil that passion in the children I teach.
